Dental Technology With Your Comfort In Mind
At Ackley Dental Group, we are committed to providing the best dental care possible to our patients. We believe in building long-lasting relationships and truly feel that our patients are part of our family. We want to offer our very best to our dental family and continue to improve the quality of care and service you receive. One way we do this is through the use of state-of-the-art technology. The changes in dental technology over the past few years have radically changed the way that we are able to treat our patients. It has improved many aspects of the care you receive such as the comfort level and time needed for treatments. We want to share more about the technology we use in our office and how it can offer enhanced dental care and services.
Digital X-rays
I’m sure that many of our patients can think back to the days of uncomfortable X-rays and waiting a considerable amount of time for film to develop before the dentist was able to view the results. Today, we are able to offer digital X-rays that not only emit lower radiation, but also provide immediate results that we are able to share with our patients. Digital X-rays allow us to better explain problem areas in the mouth and the need for treatment. The use of sensors also eliminates much, if not all, of the discomfort that was associated with the X-rays used many years ago.
Painless Wand Anesthesia
We know that we have a number of patients who experience apprehension or nervousness when they visit the dentist. The fear of discomfort and needles causes some patients to postpone needed treatments. The advanced technology of the Wand uses a computer-controlled mechanism to administer anesthesia. The old-fashioned syringe method is gone, and this technique is much more comfortable and helps patients to stay more relaxed.
Additional Technology Used
Along with the technology mentioned above, we may also use the other advanced tools during your next appointment, such as:
- ICAT CT Scan machine
- iTero Scanner
- Intraoral Camera
