Why Do We Have Two Intraoral Scanners?

If you’ve been a patient here for a while, we may have used an intraoral scanner to make digital impressions of your mouth. An intraoral scanner is a small, handheld wand, so there are no impression trays or putty. It creates detailed 3D images of your teeth that appear on screen in real time. Our iTero scanner has been part of our workflow for some time, and it performs exceptionally well. Because it’s so comfortable for our patients and produces such high-quality images, we decided to add a new intraoral scanner that’s even more advanced. Read on to learn more about it.
