Are Imperfections In Your Smile Bothering You?
Over time, teeth can become discolored, worn down, chipped, or crooked. These conditions are common but can be remedied to improve the appearance of your smile. You may have heard about veneers—a thin shell that is placed on the front of teeth to change their shape or color—but we also have another similar treatment that lasts longer, is painless, and allows you to retain more of your natural tooth structure.
Lumineers® treat discolored, misshapen, crooked, chipped, and gapped teeth just like traditional veneers, but they are ultra-thin and highly translucent, which creates a better match to your natural tooth shade. Traditional veneers require us to grind down enamel because they are thick, but with Lumineers®, no tooth reduction is necessary. Even though they are thinner, they are extremely resilient and can last over 20 years.
Since we don’t need to grind down your teeth to place Lumineers®, you can expect:
- A pain-free procedure
- No discomfort or sensitivity
- A natural and comfortable fit
Unlike traditional veneers, Lumineers® are reversible and can be removed because we have not ground down the healthy tooth structure. Your natural teeth remain strong and intact.
The best part is the amazing results! We can place them on teeth that are stained and discolored, cover a chipped tooth, eliminate spaces and gaps between the teeth, align crooked teeth, reshape small or misshapen teeth, and place them on crowns or bridgework to give you a beautiful and pleasing smile.
The Process
At your first visit, we will make an impression of your teeth and send it to the Lumineers® laboratory where they will fabricate your custom made veneers. We will make sure to match the shade of the Lumineers® to your natural teeth so that they blend in nicely. During your second visit, we will place the Lumineers® on the surface of your teeth using a bonding material to ensure a strong fit.
If slight imperfections in your smile have been bothering you, we would be happy to discuss whether Lumineers® or a different treatment would be a good fit for you. Please feel free to contact our Spring Hill office. We look forward to hearing from you!
