Dr. Rodney S. Ackley, DMD

Dr. Rodney Ackley was born in Kingsport, Tennessee and raised on Florida’s east coast. Dr. Ackley is a graduate of the University of Florida School of Dental Medicine. He and his wife Eva reside in New Port Richey. They have three children; Ricky, Amy and Andrea.

Dr. Ackley is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He also serves as the chairperson of the Peer Review Committee for West Coast Dental in Hernando County. In addition, Dr. Ackley has been inducted into the International College of Dentists.

Dr. Ackley believes in the importance of giving back to the community. He has recently implemented the Ackley Family Foundation which is to help people improve their lives with a hand up.

I have been with Ackley Dental for19 years. You are not just a number. I’m always greeted by the front desk person by my name. They are never late. I’ve had both Dr. Ackley and now Dr. Scheurman (Sherman). Both are very professional and are up to date with their knowledge. If you need treatment beyond their scope of practice they will give you a referral to an excellent specialist with whom they keep in touch to follow your treatment. The dental hygienists are also excellent and have kept current with practice knowledge. I’ve never been hurt- local anesthesia is given in the correct area so you don’t feel pain. I’ve never had to have them correct any work that I’ve had done there. Ackley Dental is a superb practice from start to finish.

Unbelievable! Not just the excellent service, but the results of two short visits. I had some dental work last year and was given a "flipper" to use while my mouth healed. Unfortunately, the flipper was stepped on and was not longer able to use. I visited Ackley last Friday , and mold was made and yesterday I went back and it was adjusted for my mouth. Dr. Ackley was the best experience I had with dental work in the last two years. The flipper is the best fit! Did not even have to remove it to eat!

I am very impressed by Ackley Dental Group. The front office staff were all so friendly and accommodating. Dr. B was meticulous, thorough and obviously highly skilled. He saved my tooth after loosing a crown over a year ago. Sabrina, the dental assistant was amazing. She prepped my tooth, then assisted Dr B. She’s extremely personable and clearly good at her job.
