Has Time Gotten Away From You?
Did we recommend a dental treatment during your last examination and you have postponed or delayed making your appointment? We know life can get busy and can sometimes become overwhelming. It often feels like there is never enough time in the day, and the days seem to pass quickly. Unfortunately, delaying a recommended dental treatment can lead to serious oral health complications, increased discomfort, and added expense. Continue reading to learn why dental treatment should never be delayed.
Don’t Delay Recommended Treatments
If we recommended a dental treatment during your last appointment and you have delayed treatment, we recommend calling today to schedule your appointment. Now is the perfect time to schedule your treatment. Spring and summer are busy times for many of our patients, and we would hate for you to experience a dental emergency and interrupt your plans. We only recommend treatment when there is a need to restore your oral health. Unlike other medical issues, dental decay does not improve or heal over time. Decay continues to worsen until additional treatments are needed. For example, if we recommend a filling for a cavity and treatment is postponed, the decay will continue to progress until a dental crown, root canal, or eventually, an extraction is needed.
Are Nerves Holding You Back?
Nervousness about visiting our office and receiving treatment is a very real feeling for some of our patients. We never want your feelings to keep you from receiving the dental treatment we recommended. Please be honest with your feelings when you speak with our dental team. We can help put your concerns at ease by explaining the procedure in detail or with the use of nitrous oxide sedation. Nitrous oxide is a safe gas that you inhale and then become immediately more relaxed. It can be administered during your treatment, and the effects wear off right away.
If you are located in the Spring Hill, FL area and have not had a dental cleaning and examination in over six months, have cancelled an appointment, or need to schedule a recommended treatment, it is time to give our office a call and schedule an appointment today. We look forward to seeing you soon!
